Pfeffer understands all about Chopin's philosophy, feeling and taste. His Chopin 1st Concerto in e minor is an athletic, macho, big sound Chopin. His Nocturnes are fragile and sweet. It is very rare, that I have no bad comments about a performance, but I have only good things to say about his Chopin. I liked his Chopin so much.

I have had the pleasure of coaching Mr. Pfeffer in several master classes in Israel, as well as hearing him perform in concerts. Nimrod Pfeffer is, in my opinion, a particularly interesting and skillful young pianist. He has plenty of natural virtuoso facility, which he has cultivated further so that his playing at its best nowadays meets high international criteria.

But even more than his pianistic skill, it is Mr. Pfeffer’s exceptional sensitivity, fantasy, and deep, committed musicality that are, in my eyes, his greatest assets. Because of those talents he can penetrate deep into the world of the Romantic composers, particularly Chopin, whose music he understands remarkably well. Mr.Pfeffer can communicate easily with audiences, and he seems to thrive on stage. He has repeatedly proven his capacity to bring demanding programs up to a very high performance standard with extremely short notice. In short, he has many of the essential characteristics needed for a pianist’s career.

I expect and trust Mr.Pfeffer to continue the fast development that he has shown, and I wish him all possible success and recognition. I believe that Mr.Pfeffer is a pianist that really deserves it.
